A snap-in case for the ESP32-P4-ETH

hardwarecommunity

@Pnwcomputers shared a case for the Waveshare ESP32-P4-ETH and the Geekworm C790. It is the third one for this pair of boards, after Colin Hickey's and Fabrion365's.

The case from the HDMI end: the C790's HDMI port above the P4 board's USB-C.

Neither board needs screws. The P4 board slides in on rails and four clips hold it. The C790 snaps onto ledges above it, with stops behind it, so pushing in an HDMI cable does not push the board back.

HDMI and the P4's USB-C come out of one end, Ethernet out of the other. Version 3.6 adds a cutout above the Ethernet port for a USB-C panel socket, for power. There are pinholes on both sides for the Reset and Boot buttons, which you press with a paperclip. The lid is held by four M3x10 screws in square nuts.

It is a remix of a case by Duglum. It prints in PETG at 0.2 mm and needs supports only under the port openings. The MakerWorld page has the assembly steps and the parts list. It is also listed on the board's page with the other two. The discussion is #83.
