Every ESP32-P4 board

The ESP32-P4 boards I have looked at, and whether ESP-KVM runs on them. Supported boards are in the catalog; the others say what is missing.

What a board needs

  • 32 MB of PSRAM. Capture, the encoder and TLS do not fit in 16 MB. On the chip it reads NRW32 (rev 1.x) or NRW32X (rev 3.x); NRW16 boards do not qualify.
  • A free camera connector. The HDMI capture board plugs into the P4's MIPI-CSI: a Raspberry Pi style 15-pin or 22-pin ribbon. A camera soldered onto that connector, or a board-to-board plug, takes it away.
  • The P4's high-speed USB on a connector it can drive as a device. That port is the keyboard and mouse the target sees. Behind a hub, or not brought out at all, it cannot be.
  • A network. An Ethernet PHY on the board, or an ESP32-C6, C5 or C61 for Wi-Fi.

ESP32-P4 boards for ESP-KVM

Green has it, orange does not, no colour is not known yet. The four columns are the four needs above. For the camera, what counts is whether the capture board's Raspberry Pi ribbon fits: a 15-pin or 22-pin connector in Pi order. A connector of another kind, or with an unpublished pinout, stays unknown.

Wireless-Tag WT32P4C5-43SCandidate✓15-pin, Pi order✓✓3.xNew in October 2026. 15-pin camera connector in Raspberry Pi order, Wi-Fi through a C5, microSD. Not known yet: which GPIOs drive the camera's I2C. It carries a 4.3" screen ESP-KVM would not use. (source, checked 2026-10) Have one? Post your result →
Wireless-Tag WT99P4C5-S1Candidate✓22-pin, pinout unknown✓✓?IP101 Ethernet and a C5, microSD. The 22-pin camera connector's pinout is not published. (checked 2026-09) Have one? Post your result →
Wireless-Tag WT9932P4C61-TINYCandidate✓15-pin, Pi order✓?3.xWi-Fi only. 15-pin camera connector in Pi order, high-speed USB on its own Type-C. Not stated: how the C61 talks to the P4. (source, checked 2026-10) Have one? Post your result →
Wireless-Tag WTDKP4C5-S1Candidate✓unclear in the guide✓✓?Sold with 16 or 32 MB PSRAM; take the 32. The guide contradicts itself about the camera connector, there is no microSD, and Ethernet needs a PHY on the header. (checked 2026-09) Have one? Post your result →
Makerfabs MaTouch ESP32-P4 7" and 10.1"Maybe✓has a camera; type unknown?✓1.xA C6, microSD, Ethernet on the 10.1". Both ship an SC2336 camera on the camera connector; whether it takes a Pi ribbon is not said. (source, checked 2026-10)
MakerGo / Osprey ESP32P4C5Maybe?15-pin, order not checked?✓?15-pin camera connector and a C5, but Ethernet only as RMII pins on a header: wired network needs your own PHY board. (checked 2026-09)
OspreyPi / Maker Go ESP32-P4-Mini v2.0Maybe✓likely a camera-module pinout?✓1.xA C6, microSD, a Type-C labelled high-speed USB. The camera connector looks wired for a camera module (its own 2.8 V and 1.8 V supplies), not in Pi order. (source, checked 2026-10)
Guition JC1060P470 (7", Ethernet version)Maybe✓not published?✓?A C6, microSD, Ethernet and a camera on one variant. Too little is published about the camera connector, flash and USB. (checked 2026-09)
M5Stack Stamp-P4Maybe✓board-to-board, needs an adapter???The camera is on a board-to-board connector (needs an adapter), there is no PHY, and Wi-Fi needs the C6 add-on. (checked 2026-09)
Waveshare ESP32-P4-WIFI6-Touch-LCD panelsMaybe✓not stated✓✓?A C6, microSD, no Ethernet. The 3.5" one has a camera built in; for the others the camera connector is not stated. (checked 2026-09)
Waveshare ESP32-P4-WIFI6-MMaybe✓probably 15-pin, as the WIFI6✓✓1.xLooks like the ESP32-P4-WIFI6 with a rev 1.x chip and a 4-pin USB header, so the WIFI6 image may simply run. Not verified. (source, checked 2026-10)
RELOC SCINTIX P4Maybe✓on the carrier board?✓3.xA compute module for Raspberry Pi CM4/CM5 carrier boards, with Ethernet and a C6. The camera comes from the carrier, and the USB is described as host. No schematic yet. (source, checked 2026-10)
Elecrow CrowPanel Advanced 5", 7", 10.1"Maybe✓Elecrow's own connector✓✓?A C6 in a swappable slot and a USB device port. The camera is optional, on Elecrow's own connector. (source, checked 2026-10)
Olimex ESP32-P4-PCNo✓15-pin, Pi order✗✓?Everything else is right, but a USB hub sits on the high-speed port, so it is always a host and can never be the target's keyboard. (checked 2026-09)
Olimex ESP32-P4-DevKitNo✓15-pin, Pi order✗✓?The high-speed USB lines are not brought out anywhere; its Type-C is the serial bridge. (checked 2026-09)
Waveshare ESP32-P4-Pico, ESP32-P4-Core-DEV-KITNo✓22-pin on the Core kit?✗?No network at all: no Ethernet PHY and no Wi-Fi co-processor. (checked 2026-09)
Waveshare ESP32-P4-86-Panel-ETH-2RONo?not fitted?✓?The camera connector is not fitted on this variant. (checked 2026-09)
LILYGO T-Display-P4No?built-in camera???The camera is built in; there is no free camera connector. (checked 2026-09)
Seeed reTerminal D1001No✓built-in camera?✓1.xThe camera is built in; there is no free camera connector. A good terminal candidate, below. (source, checked 2026-10)
Espressif ESP32-P4-EYE, ESP32-P4X-EYENo?built-in camera???Camera kits: the camera connector carries their own sensor. (checked 2026-09)
M5Stack Tab5As a terminal✓built-in camera?✓1.xNot as a KVM: the camera connector holds its own camera. It runs ESP-KVM terminal instead, as a handheld screen for a KVM. (checked 2026-10)
LILYGO T-Halow P4No✗24-pin, no 3.3 V, 1.8 V I2C✗✓?8 MB of PSRAM. USB and Ethernet come out only on the M.2 edge, with no PHY and no socket for the target, and the 24-pin camera connector has no 3.3 V and a 1.8 V I2C. (checked 2026-09)

Boards for ESP-KVM terminal

ESP-KVM terminal is the other end: a board with a screen that shows a KVM's picture, with no browser. It needs a screen with touch and a network, but no camera connector and no USB to a target. Today it is written for the Tab5 only.
